Reasons to be

Corinne's solo show 'Reasons to be'  will build upon Corinne’s winning portrait ‘Reasons to be Alone’ from the Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize 2020. The oil painting was an exploration of the female form through her contemporary realism style and featured a woman lying in water amid nature, content and at peace in the water. This theme will be further explored through the addition of new portraits featuring women immersed and unfiltered in a natural environment, with close-ups of the female body. These works will be accompanied by a small selection of paintings of the natural elements themselves, whether that's the movement of water, the reflection of trees in the water or rocks on the beach.

Showing at the flag ship Cass Art store in Islington London from Sunday 27th November - Saturday 10th December 2022.
