Sarah Jackson – Jackson & Young

Sarah Jackson

Growing up along the rugged Cornish coast, Sarah’s childhood was shaped by nature, wildlife and adventure - elements that continue to inspire her work today.

After graduating from Falmouth University in 2011 with a degree in Illustration, she began her career as a freelance editorial illustrator, working with clients including The Wall Street Journal, German Wings airline, and Starbucks. Alongside these commissions, she pursued personal projects, expanding her portfolio and exhibiting in galleries.

At the core of her practice is the use of recycled magazines, transforming paper into richly textured, paint-like compositions. This approach not only challenges perceptions of traditional media but also reinforces her commitment to sustainability. Through her art, she seeks to celebrate the natural world while encouraging a deeper awareness of the need to protect it.

Sarah’s work has received prestigious accolades, including the Ronald Morgan Memorial Award at The Royal Society of British Artists exhibition at Mall Galleries in London. She is represented by leading art publishers C+D Fine Art, who distribute her limited-edition prints to galleries throughout the UK.

Her work is regularly showcased at exhibitions including the Royal Society of British Artists, the Society of Wildlife Artists, the Society of Women Artists, the South West Academy, and the RBSA. She has also been a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Award—an honour that resonates deeply with her passion for wildlife and conservation.
